VisMat (Visual - Matrix ; The updated 3D Volume visualization Tool) was created using MATLAB 2014a in October of 2014 by Michael Richards.
It is designed to help visualize the internal structure within 3D data sets, observe in-situ time series changes in cross
section, and create images and animations of the results suitable for publication. It is not designed for quantitative
analysis, but for qualitative analysis.
This program is the successor to the original 3D visualization tool, Vis3D (coded in IDL). The purpose for the update was to add
functionality, and address some bugs which caused holes in the cut-away surface.
